“Map Man” Michal Kasprowski has added two more road maps to his collection of maps of Caribbean islands. The newly-published full-colour maps of Saba and of St. Kitts and Nevis follow, for instance, maps of St. Maarten and St. Eustatius that were published previously.
Saba’s map is scaled 1:7,000 and measures 98cm by 67cm. The road map includes a street index, hiking trails and diving sites, and includes all of the island’s newly-named official street and road names. The map also contains 21 diving and snorkelling sites, 18 up-to-date hiking trails, locations of scenic views, beaches, churches, gas stations, and many more details and places of interest.
The map can be purchased on Saba at Everyt’ings, Sea Saba Dive Centre, Big Rock Market, Queen’s Garden Resort, Scout’s Place, My Store, Island Communication Services, Saba Dispensary, Saba Artisans Foundation and Saba Tourist Bureau.
“We would like to thank Bobby Zagers at the Saba Planning Bureau, the staff at the Census Bureau, and the team of Saba Conservation Foundation for providing much of the necessary information for the map, as well as Island Governor of Saba Jonathan Johnson for supporting the project,” said Kasprowski, who, since January 2015, is designing maps together with his son Rafal Kasprowski.
The St. Kitts and Nevis road map it the first and only complete road and street map with street names and indexes of the twin-island nation of St. Kitts at a 1:30,000 and Nevis on a 1:20,000 scale, father and son Kasprowski explained.
All published maps are available on website www.midok.com, where they can be purchased online by using a credit card or PayPal account. The next maps in the series will be of Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao, said Kasprowski.
