Saba’s one and only outdoor fitness park will be opening next to Queen Wilhelmina Library in The Bottom, today, Friday, from 4:30pm to 5:30pm.
At Fit Park Saba residents and visitors will be able to exercise whenever they want and pick their own dates and time to get fit.
Over the next six months, however, there will be a trainer available every Monday from 5:00pm to 6:00pm to guide persons in starting their own exercise programme at the Fit Saba Park.
During the festive opening of the Park speeches will be given by Commissioner of Health Rolando Wilson, Dr. Koen Hulshof of the Public Health Department and by Saba Health Care’s physiotherapist Tjitske “Jess” Vasilev.
The Fit Park Saba opening will be marked by the revealing of a sign, information about how the fitness park was realized and by giving “a big hand” to the people who helped build the park.
Fit Park Saba was built by Public Works Department, Saba Roads and Construction B.V., Work Monster, and Norwell Outdoor Fitness Nederland. Everyone present can try out the equipment while enjoying some healthy snacks and drinks.
